The Ohio native explains that she and her dad were looking at her car one night when a drunk driver sideswiped them, breaking Jessica's back and her father's leg.
The UFC fighter says that after her miraculously quick recovery, she felt that she had a purpose in life to do something special. Jessica then became the first woman to enter the MMA in Ohio, and has since been a top contender in the sport.
