Since linking up with the legendary DJ, Fredro Starr says he gave them a promise and acted as a mentor to the then budding group. Since his untimely death in 2002, the group says his absence will always be bigger than Hip Hop since they were close friends.
From spending time in the studio together, to learning the ropes of the business, Starr says Jay was viewed as a general and believes his presence will live forever. Sticky Fingaz also added that Jay's phone number is still stored in his cell.
