OG Maco on Label Shared With Migos: Half the Label Is Locked Up

Enjoying the success of his hit track "U Guessed It," rapper OG Maco sat down for a chat with VladTV; this portion of the discussion details his thoughts on working amid Quality Control's roster, the same label shared with Migos, and how being an independent artist arouses a high level of selfreliance.

OG offered his respect to Migo's current setback with having one of its members incarcerated, saying, "Free Offset." He continued to convey his insight on what it's like working in an environment where many of his creative cohorts have been confined to jail, adding, "Half [of] the label is locked up right now, to be honest."

The convo continued with OG Maco demonstrating both motivation and support for his jailed labelmates when he declared, "We miss the homies, we wish they [were] out, you know, we want better."

Maco then illuminated his perspective on how working within an indie imprint requires sheer determination and a focus on the future. Although some of Quality Control's artists are experiencing a tumultuous period, OG insists these experiences will enhance their character.
