The "Right Thurr" rapper explained that in the early 2000s he wanted to move away from the "thug image and name," and gravitate towards something more catchy, thus, how "Chingy" was born.
During the conversation Chingy spoke about Nelly's impact on St. Louis rappers, and admits that the "Ride Wit Me" rapper put his city on the map in Hip-Hop. Chingy also spoke about how he was introduced to Nelly, which you can hear more about in the above clip.
