The label never informed him, however, and Hamilton was told by his girlfriend after she read about it on RapRadar.com. "The music that got the label's attention wasn't the music I was trying to move with," he states during the interview. Chalking it up to a disagreement between him and Interscope over creative direction, the "New York Raining" rapper took his talents to Republic Records where he's been prospering ever since.
"I'm thankful for each and every opportunity I'm getting," Charles Hamilton expresses. Now in 2015, Hamilton has teamed up with British superstar, Rita Ora, and has appeared on "Empire" to perform their collaborative effort, one he feels is paving the way for a major comeback.
