Mysonne Blasts BET for Not Covering #JusticeorElse

"They want to show us when they can depict us as animals, criminals, and 'thugs' but they don't want to show us unified. [It's] as simple as that. It's sad that we have Black Entertainment television that won't cover [The 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March]."

Mysonne recently spoke to VladTV about helping Minister Farrakhan organize Justice or Else for the second Million Man March on October 10, 2015. This time around he speaks on his disappointment in BET for not covering the event but willingly covering the 20th anniversary of O.J. Simpson's murder trial. "Ya'll want to show the ratchet side of us but you don't want to show the unified and the calm side of us when we're at peace. It's propaganda and c**nery, if you ask me," asserts the Bronx lyricist. He then breaks down the accountability of the media sources that are of our community.

Keeping with the theme of his spoken word piece at the rally, the social activist then delves into what the "or else" stands for. Citing monetary protest as a means to promote the message, Mysonne believes the matter is now in the hands of the majority of Black people. He believes that boycotting Black Friday, Christmas and all other instances where their dollar helps a government that is still marginalizing and ignoring the injustices of certain people will benefit the community in the end.
