YouTube Description
as posted by the channelBack in 2013, Cleveland rapper King Chip sat down to speak about his long-time friend and musical collaborator Kid Cudi and his drug use. While Cudi has documented his battle with drugs throughout his musical career, Chip reveals that he never saw the Day 'N Nite rapper's recreational use as a problem. "I never saw it as a problem, where it's like 'We need to get you some help or none of that sh*t.' It was just really like a choice he was making, and that's what it was," asserts Chip.
Known to have outbursts such as his the blustering against the likes of Kanye, Drake and other "haters" who use artists to their benefit, Chip talks about if Cudi seems to have a problem acclimating to fame. He deflects the idea by belying, "[Cudi] on his level, is not driven by wanting to be famous or something... to be a person who cares about every person you meet, and you meet a lot of people, it's overwhelming." Chip affirms Cudi's love for the music, his supporters, and gives a look into why he responds to things in the manner he does.
