YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn this Flashback from 2014, Kevin Gates talked about refusing to rat on anyone and how he was taught to fight for his name, even if it met fighting to his death. With the conflicts in Black community regarding the "no snitching" rule, Gates explains the morals between men— then and now—have always been the same, and yes, some did cooperate with police. "They was ratting back then too. They was ratting when I was little. I was just too young to know," he explained, "But, I was fortunate enough to come up with some individuals that was silent. They imputed wisdom and knowledge in me and taught me one thing: 'You a man of morals and principles; if you'd be a rat, you might as well let a n*gga f*** you.'"
