NY lyricist Mysonne knows firsthand about the widespread corruption and hypocrisy endemic to the criminal justice system of the United States. He was personal friends with the infamous "Central Park 5," a group of 5 young men that pled guilty to raping a woman in Central Park in 1989 but were later exonerated after spending years in jail. Mysonne also spent seven years in prison for a crime he did not commit, 90 of those days in solitary confinement.
