He also revealed that his style was initially classic "Boom Bap" rap. X considered himself along the lines of an Earl Sweatshirt mixed with a little Biggie before pulling out a few of his best boom-bap verses.
XXXTentacion also had a message for new rappers who come out attempting to replicate Chief Keef, Lil Uzi, and Lil Yachty. He said that you can't start there, you have to go back and really learn the craft then work from there. He believed it was better to learn the technical side of rapping because it helped him add versatility to his style.
