John Salley spoke to VladTV about being close friends with Magic Johnson and learning about his plans to announce his HIV positive diagnosis before he went public. John added that Magic seemed normal before his announcement, and added that the NBA legend stayed healthy after his diagnosis which he believes is a big part of his longevity.During the conversation, John spoke about people assuming that Magic was gay because of the prevalence of HIV in the gay community. He added that people also assumed that people with the diagnosis should be quarantined on a desert island, which you can hear more about in the above clip.
