However, Salley stated that Ted Gustus was the best coach he ever played for, while Chuck Daly was his best coach in the NBA. Salley gave Daly the edge over Jackson because of Daly's ability to understand the different personalities of players.
The conversation transitioned to Michael Jordan's decision to not speak out against social injustices during his playing career.
