Michael went on to explain why this is true by a simple comparison to boxing. He said that oftentimes, boxers who've made upwards of $100 million wind up broke after their career. Michael deduced that MMA fighters must really be financially precarious because they don't have the same earning potential as boxers with the same downsides, especially post-career.
