After previously stating that he started rapping at 12-years-old, Young Buck detailed the events that led to him rapping in front of Birdman at 14. When he was listening to BG with a friend, they called the phone number to label listed on the back of the album as a joke. When the call was answered, they asked how much it would take to book Cash Money for a show.
After receiving a $5,000 quote, his friend booked the crew without any knowledge of how to put a show together. When Cash Money was in their city, Young Buck was brought to the studio where Birdman made him battle Lil Wayne. While he wouldn't say who won, he said he came out of the room respected and his journey with Cash Money began.
