In this clip, Ernest Lee Thomas spoke about being known for his roles in "What's Happening!!," where he played Roger "Raj" Thomas, and also playing Mr. Omar in "Everybody Hates Chris." After speaking about "What's Happening!!" being a hit for 44 years and running, Ernest got into his life story, including being born in Gary, Indiana. He explained that his mother had her first child at 16, and her brothers forced the father of her child to marry her. Unhappy in the marriage due to her husband's cheating, Ernest revealed that his mother had an affair and ended up pregnant with him. He then explained that his mother didn't want to go through the pain of childbirth again, so she attempted to abort Ernest at home, but she was caught by her grandmother.
