According to Ruggiano, his father was led to believe to Gotti took care of his daughter after she was involved in an accident. When Ruggiano's father was released from prison, he was given an invoice by Gotti before passing away 18 months later. After inheriting the debt, Ruggiano questioned why he was loyal to the crime loyal before stating that there are no happy endings in the mafia lifestyle.
