Pastor Troy on Dissing Master P, Lil Nas X, BMF, Lil Jon & Lil Scrappy Beef (Full Interview)

Pastor Troy came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he spoke about growing up in Georgia in a strict household. He explained that when his father, who has a military background, became a preacher, he banned all hip-hop music from their home. However, Pastor Troy didn’t let that stop his love for hip-hop, which he picked back up when he left home for college and started thinking more seriously about becoming a rapper. From there, Pastor Troy spoke about the beginnings of his rap career, including his hit song “We Ready,” which he says is the first song he ever recorded in the studio.

Pastor Troy also addressed pressing Master P on “No Play in GA,” which led to some tense moments that Pastor Troy overcame only to become one of the most respected artists out of Atlanta. Throughout the conversation, Pastor Troy detailed his role in reaching out a hand to burgeoning artists in Atlanta, including T.I., Ludacris, and Jeezy, who all asked him to be on their debut albums. He also addressed working with Lil Jon on “Throw It Up,” his biggest song to date, and how he was disappointed in not working with him since.
