In this clip, Rod Blagojevich talked about how corrupt the prosecutors over his case were and the ways in which they are indicative of an eroding democracy. Blagojevich said the same legal tactics they used to convict him were the same tactics they attempted to bring down former President Donald Trump. He also revealed how he felt about Obama calling for his resignation and being deserted by his other political allies.
Later, the former governor explained his issue with the Chicago Tribune and the negative articles they ran against him for using his gubernatorial powers to expand healthcare while not making a big deal over his use of his position as governor to helping the Chicago Cubs renovate Wrigley Field (the MLB team owned by the Tribune). He also detailed being accused of obtaining illegal campaign contributions, particularly with relation to a horse racing bill to which Blagojevich denied any wrongdoing.
