Meeks explained that he thinks the people that inspired the characters should be compensated, especially since the BMF series is the #1 show on Starz. Moving along, D. Meeks ended his interview by speaking about the differences in him and his 50 Boys co-founders, Big Meech and Southwest T, as Meeks sought a legitimate life, and the others sought more money and fame. While D. Meeks ran into some legal trouble, he has been free for 27 years, while Southwest T spent decades in prison, and his brother, Big Meech, is still in prison.
