In this clip, Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis spoke about the saving grace that was Collis Temple Jr. who was the 1st black player to suit up for LSU’s basketball team and was Big Baby’s mentor. He said the relationship was cultivated due to his close friendship with Collis’s son Garrett who also made it to the NBA. Davis recalled living with the Temples throughout high school and why he wouldn’t have made it to college had it not been for them. Later, Davis talked about shifting his focus from football to basketball because of the money that could be made hooping without many of the adverse health issues related to football. And he recounted meeting Shaq and slamming him during a friendly wrestling match.
