In this clip, DJ Akademiks reacted to Vlad telling him about Jay-Z recently saying that “things don’t happen to you, they happen for you.” Vlad then explained how he always wanted to be on the radio, but when things didn’t work out, he started VladTV. Vlad then added that he knows that VladTV wouldn’t be a thing if he was on the radio, which led to a discussion with Akademiks about how the radio guys aren’t getting paid like Vlad. Akademiks also explained the importance of owning your own content, and he went on to speak about how radio isn’t able to adapt to streaming.
