In this clip, former KGB agent Jack Barsky talked about his upbringing in East Germany at the conclusion of World War II and the start of the Cold War. He talked about hating his given name and reluctantly pronouncing it for Vlad while also explaining why a thug could never have a job in espionage.
Later, Jack Barsky talked further about his upbringing in the USSR controlled East Germany and joining youth Communist groups. He also detailed how he was approached by the KGB to join through a German volunteer as to not throw him off with someone approaching him with a Russian accent.
