In this clip, Chris Childs spoke about retiring from the NBA in 2004, as he explained that he couldn’t get as healthy as he wanted to be, and he added that he also wanted to be close with his kids. Chris explained that he had two failed marriages and felt like he wasn’t present for his 6 kids, especially his daughters. When asked about learning that Kobe Bryant and his daughter passed away in a helicopter crash, and Chris revealed that he “lost it” when he saw the news on TV. Chris stated that time stopped for him in the moment, and he spoke about having to break the news to the kids he was coaching that day. Chris then explained why he kept a pair of Kobe’s shoes that the Knicks sent him, which he later gifted to a kid he coached.
Moving along, Chris shared his thoughts on the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole scrabble in during a recent Golden State Warrior's practice. The former New York Knick details what he would have done in Jordan Poole's situation before stating that he would have fought with his teammate everyday in practice, until they were even. From there, he predicts that other guys in the NBA are going to "try" Jordan Poole because he allowed himself to get punched in the face on camera without retaliating.
