Tony Lewis Sr. on Being Indicted w/ Rayful Edmond in 29-Person Conspiracy (Part 4)

In this clip, Vlad started off speaking to former D.C. kingpin Tony Lewis Sr. about getting 100 kilos at one point, which led to Vlad asking if he ever wanted to cut out the middle man. Tony stated that he thought that route was too risky, and Vlad went on to speak to him about Tony’s wife and son watching him get arrested on TV. Tony explained that the feds had a sealed indictment, and on that day, they started arrested the 29 codefendants in the case. Tony revealed that it was the first time he was arrested in his life, and he pointed out that he was 26 at the time. Tony added that he thought he could beat the case if he got a good enough lawyer, but he pointed out that “we had no chance.” Tony then spoke about Rayful Edmond being arrested in the same indictment and The Washington Post running an article that revealed that Tony and Rayful were at the head of the operation. Vlad then pointed out that the feds alleged that he and Rayful controlled 20% of the crack in the city, and that they brought in $2 million a week. Tony stated that he would estimate that they brought in around $1 million every week or two weeks. When asked about laundering money, Tony stated that he doesn’t want to speak about other people involved, but he added that his plan was to invest the money to provide for his family.
