Brian "Peanut" Brown on Signing Kash Doll, Her Ex-BF Taking Credit for Gifts He Bought (Part 13)

In this clip, Cavario started off speaking to Brian “Peanut” Brown about his label, BMB Records, which started with him working with Charli Baltimore and famed Detroit rapper Trick Trick. Brian then explained that it was Charli that influenced her to sign other artists, which led to him working with 10 artists over 5 years without a contract. From there, Brian spoke about getting some of the artists under contract, including Kash Doll, who he said he spend $1.5 million on in 6-7 months. Brian stated that he “made people buy into who she is” when it comes to Kash Doll, and Brian revealed that he was buying cars and jewelry that Kash Doll’s boyfriend was giving to her. Brian then added that Kash Doll’s boyfriend wanted him to stop managing her as her star rose because she was getting “too big to handle.” From there, Brian spoke about missteps he made in the music industry, including handing out CDs instead of uploading them to streaming platforms. Brian then predicted that BMB Records could be as big as No Limit or Cash Money, and he went on to speak about Kash Doll’s contract. Brian explained that he gave the contract to her boyfriend, and he added that he never knew the details of it until years later.
