In light of Drake reposting our 2018 Interview with Too short, we take a look back at the clip, where Vlad started off asking him about Drake essentially redoing “Blow the Whistle” on DJ Khaled’s “For Free.” Too Short explained that he thinks that Drake made a clever reference to his song with the line, “Yeah, I go on and on/Can't understand how I last so long/I must have the superpowers/Last two-hundred twenty-three thousand hours.” He pointed out that “Two hundred twenty-three” is “two short” of his original “Blow the Whistle” lyrics of “two-hundred twenty-five.” From there, Vlad asked Too Short about his scandalous Nancy Reagan line on “CussWords” while Ronald Reagan was president. Too Short explained that the diss came as Reagan was cutting programs in the inner-cities, which he called “Trump-ish.” To hear more, including Too Short speaking about the start of the parental advisory stickers on albums, hit the above clip.
