Lieutenant Hugo Martinez played a crucial role in narrowing down the location by riding down the streets with an antenna to gauge the strength of the signal. Eventually, Martinez spotted Escobar in a second-floor window with a phone to his ear. The interviewee noted that it was unusual for Escobar not to react to someone running down the street with an antenna, suggesting that he may have been distracted or preoccupied at the time. The interview also addressed the raid on Escobar's hideout, which resulted in his death. Murphy and Pena stressed the importance of recognizing the efforts of the Colombian national police, who played a significant role in capturing Escobar and reclaiming their country from his influence.
