Hicks recalls a specific incident where he was wrongfully arrested without being informed of the charges against him. The interview also reveals that Hicks had never participated in any criminal activities himself, making his arrest even more unjust. Hicks explains that he believed speaking out against the misconduct was the right thing to do, just as he had done when he stood up against his father's abusive behavior towards his mother as a child. However, instead of addressing the issue, his superiors dismissed his concerns and retaliated against him and his family.
