Basketball legend Dominique Wilkins debunked rumors that he had once attempted to purchase the Atlanta Hawks in 2014. Wilkins confirmed there are always such speculations, especially when a franchise is preparing to sell. As to whether he considered buying, Wilkins admitted as being part of the city longer than anyone, he was naturally interested. He acknowledged the massive price point difference for NBA franchises now, stating purchasing a team is more of a "billionaire's playground."
