--------
In this clip, City of Hop explained how lifestyle modifications can significantly affect a person's cancer risk, including eating fresh fruits and vegetables and limiting consumption of processed meats and carcinogens like cigarettes. Notably, besides traditional chemotherapy, newer, less toxic treatments are emerging due to better understanding of cancer at the cellular level. These include targeted therapies and immunotherapies which focus on eradicating specific cancer cells, thus causing less collateral damage. Patients are provided with numerous treatment options based on factors like age, health conditions etc. City of Hope, being a comprehensive cancer center focuses not just on curing the cancer but also providing the best care to the patients and their families. Curing certain cancers is already a reality, with testicular cancer being one of them. Looking ahead, nanotechnology is being researched as a potential therapeutic technique.
