In this clip, comedian Carlos Mencia recounted a transformative period in his pre-comedy life when he became involved in drug dealing. Initially owed money by a Colombian woman, Mencia was drawn into selling cocaine after she suggested making him payment with the drug. The operation quickly escalated, with Mencia's reputation leading to high demand. However, a confrontation with a debtor made him realise the seriousness of his situation and he decided to quit dealing, much to the disappointment of his younger brother. His final action as a dealer led to a run-in with the police that saw him revealing his stash on the condition his brother was let go. Thanks to the honesty of a ride-along dispatcher who deemed his search & seizure illegal, Mencia was let off and continued his growth into a successful comedian. Mencia relates that he met the dispatcher again years later at one of his shows, where she expressed her pride in his progress.
