In this clip, Evander Holyfield revisited his notorious 1997 match against Mike Tyson, where Tyson bit off a piece of his ear. Initially intended to be refereed by Mitch Halpern, Tyson’s team argued against his involvement, allowing Mills Lane to take his place. Before the third round, Tyson stepped into the ring without his mouthpiece. Holyfield, despite dominating the first three rounds, found himself the victim of Tyson’s now infamous bite around 40 seconds before the end of one round. Tyson bit Holyfield again during another round, after which the match was called off. Holyfield joked about his first instinct to bite Tyson back in retaliation but refrained from doing so as he tried to not embarrass himself further during the match.
