Furthermore, programs intended to support athletes, such as the NBA's Legends Foundation, often fall short of providing meaningful help. In the end, as Kisha Chavis states, despite the opportunities available, many athletes end up self-sabotaging due to an unwillingness to adapt and move on from their previous lifestyle.
