Patrick Bet-David discussed the production of the web series 'Mafia States of America.' Originally planned as a two-hour podcast on YouTube, it grew into an elaborate project with paid downloads. The challenges of setting up two rival gangsters, Michael Franzese and Sammy The Bull, for an interview in a house similar to the famous 'Godfather' film set brought the initial budget from $50,000 to up to $300,000. The series included preparations for unforeseen scenarios, such as equipping the location with nurses, armed guards, and security to maintain safety. Despite the delay in delivering 24 hours of footage and narratives, including interviews with Rudy Giuliani and narration by Chazz Palminteri, the series was finally released and sold for $39 per download, with tens of thousands of downloads to date. Bet-David notes the project managed to generate profit despite not being able to run ads on YouTube or Facebook.
