Sebastian Telfair discussed his journey from being drafted by the Portland Trailblazers as the number 13 pick to his challenges being on a struggling team. He expressed disappointment at being drafted by Portland, which was as far from his home in New York as possible. Nevertheless, he recalled the honor of being selected by one of the world's richest men, Paul Allen. The rookie deal brought him five million dollars, but he also secured millions from Adidas. His initial success was marred by the team's worst record since 1973. Sebastian admitted that adjusting to such failure was hard and this was the first time in his life where his performance could not solely dictate the team's success.
