Kevin revealed that he was born to a father who worked for the LAPD and a mother who had ties to the Black Panthers. He talked about growing up in the Compton/Watts area and learning to barbeque during his summers in Texas. Prior to opening Bludso's BBQ in 2008, Kevin worked as a DJ and for the Department of Corrections.
