He also commented on controversial claims from ex-NBA referee Tim Donaghy, who admitted to betting on his own games. Donaghy alleged that superstars like Kobe Bryant received favorable treatment from referees because the NBA wanted high-scoring, entertaining games. Parker agreed with these claims, asserting he noticed an explicit bias during Kobe Bryant's games. Donaghy also asserted that he was able to use his experience and knowledge about the relationships between referees and players to make successful bets. Parker, however, clarified he isn't privy to such information as he only aims to officiate games properly.
