The notorious Colombian drug lord, Griselda Blanco, was assassinated as an act of revenge for her prior murders, revealed her former boyfriend, Charles Cosby. She was killed on September 3, 2012, during a trip to a Medellin butcher shop in the company of her pregnant daughter-in-law, in a motorcycle drive-by assassination technique she famously employed during her reign. Cosby refused to disclose the identity of her killers but suggested it was someone with links to the crimes Blanco had committed during her tumultuous career in the drug trade, further implying that he learnt of these details from a top hitman employed by Pablo Escobar. Despite Blanco's nefarious reputation, she was considered 'revered' in Medellin, according to Cosby.
