--------
When Westside Gunn named his record label "Griselda Records" in homage to Griselda Blanco in 2012, her son, Michael Corleone Blanco, initially felt slighted. He revealed that he had initially believed he was entitled to some sort of acknowledgment or compensation due to the street culture he grew up in. However, after stepping into the corporate world, he realized business was never personal. Despite his initial anger, Blanco appreciates that the prominence of Griselda Records has inadvertently upheld his mother's legacy. He compared his respect for the label to that he holds for Wu-Tang. Now a seasoned figure in show business, Blanco has successfully transitioned from being the subject of the hit reality TV series Cartel Crew to behind the camera, currently working on three new shows.
