--------
UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal discussed his fight with veteran fighter Nate Diaz. Heading into the match, Masvidal had mixed feelings - he was fresh off a nearly 12-week-long training camp, nursing damaged hands that had initially led him to consider leaving the octagon for the rest of the year. Masvidal credited his good overall physical condition to a successful fight camp in preparation for a prior bout with Ben Askren, which left him in peak shape. Despite concerns about his hands, Masvidal was confident he could dominate Diaz, a belief that came to fruition when the doctor stopped the fight due to Diaz's injuries. Masvidal celebrated the win, lauding Diaz for his professionalism and for stepping in to fight at such short notice.
