Jeweler Ben Baller recently opened up about a missed business opportunity with Kanye West that could have netted them a staggering $100 million. Ben revealed they were developing polycarbonate Jesus pieces at the height of the Jesus piece trend. Although the production cost was $75 per piece, they had potential to sell for $1,000 each, with an expected 99% profit margin. With four colors available and an estimated 50,000 pieces per color, it was shaping up to be an enormous cash cow. The venture was to be part of Pastelle, Kanye's planned clothing line. However, the project fizzled out before hitting shelves, partly due to Kanye self-funding the line and the logistics never aligning. Reflecting on the opportunity, Ben lamented what could have been a groundbreaking collaboration, ultimately noting it as a massive, albeit educational, fumble in his career.
