Former U.S. Army Ranger Sniper Nicholas Irving drew comparisons between Trump’s near-death experience and prominent historical events like the JFK assassination. Discussing an article by Forbes, which speculated whether surviving gunfire could boost Trump's appeal to Black voters, Irving dismissed the notion that such experiences could resonate with the Black community. Irving humorously commented on Trump potentially trying to build rapport by aligning with rapper 50 Cent, who famously survived nine gunshots. He emphasized that most Black people he knows haven’t been shot and doubted that Trump’s ordeal would influence voters. Irving speculated that Trump might use the incident to reinforce his pro-Second Amendment stance, doubling down on gun rights rather than advocating for stricter controls. He argued that leaders need armed defense and that banning guns is not a solution.
