Gene Borrello talked about getting out of prison in 2010 and reconnecting with his former crew, working closely with Ronnie G. Extortion, debt collections, and violent enforcements quickly became his norm. This high-stakes lifestyle took a twist in 2014 when Borrello’s own cousin cooperated with federal authorities, wearing a wire on him for an entire year. The tipping point came after the cousin conducted a drug deal with his baby present, selling drugs hidden in the child's backpack. This cousin, facing a 20-year sentence, opted to cooperate to lessen his own punishment. Unbeknownst to Borrello, his cousin’s betrayal led to critical incriminating evidence, ultimately burying him further in legal troubles.
