Tavis Smiley did not hold back his displeasure regarding the Democratic Party’s treatment of President Joe Biden. Reflecting on the first presidential debate between Biden and Trump, Smiley noted Biden's frail appearance and questioned his preparation. Smiley emphasized that Biden’s lack of vigor was evident and raised concerns about his physical ability to campaign robustly. Smiley found it unprecedented and shocking that media, celebrities, and social media called for Biden to step aside. Smiley criticized the Democrats' late realization of Biden's age and their failure to primary him earlier. He described the party’s actions as spineless, accusing them of betraying Biden and not supporting a transition despite his earlier promises. Ultimately, Smiley condemned the party for pushing Biden out, portraying it as a disorganized and cowardly maneuver that compromised the election’s integrity.
