Former WWE star Maven Huffman shared an unsettling experience from his early wrestling days, where jealousy amongst wrestlers led to a potentially dangerous in-ring situation. After gaining a fast-track entry into the wrestling world through the reality show “Tough Enough,” Maven experienced backlash from fellow athletes who had climbed the traditional ladder in smaller leagues. One particular incident stands out in his memory: an intentionally botched DDT move. This wrestling maneuver should have been safe, with the opponent releasing Maven’s head before it hit the mat. However, the vengeful wrestler held on, spiking Maven’s head deliberately. Despite this dangerous act, Maven didn't retaliate, acknowledging his rookie status and adhering to the unwritten rule of enduring mistreatment silently.
