Billy Garland, father of the late Tupac Shakur, reflected on the harrowing experience of sitting by his son's hospital bedside in Las Vegas. Tupac, in a coma and on life support due to severe injuries, appeared frail and vulnerable. Despite the dire circumstances, Garland maintained hope, recalling his son's resilience in past shootings. As the days progressed, Garland held onto the belief that Tupac would pull through, until the sixth day when his hopes were dashed. Heartbreakingly, Garland recounted the moment he learned of Tupac’s death while at a red light, leaving him in shock. The interview also touched upon the tough choice Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, faced in taking her son off life support. Garland admitted he might have pursued a different course, opting to keep Tupac on the machines longer, highlighting the complexity and anguish of such a decision.
