Growing up on the southeast side of Chicago, Lil Eazzyy was heavily influenced by the emergence of drill music, drawn to the movement sparked by Chief Keef in 2010. This era marked a turning point for Chicago hip-hop, captivating young Lil Eazzyy as he started experimenting with rap, influenced by local icons like G Herbo, Lil Durk, and Chief Keef.
During high school, he had a fortuitous connection to Juice WRLD, a then-senior at his school whose revolutionary sound reverberated through the halls. Although they didn’t hang out due to the age gap, Lil Eazzyy followed Juice WRLD's rise on SoundCloud, motivated by the artist's success to pursue music seriously. He enrolled in a music class, surrounded by fellow budding musicians, reinforcing his belief in achieving success.
