Frank Gioia Jr. shares a gritty narrative of his transition from the son of a Lucchese crime family member to a made man himself. Despite his father's staunch opposition to his involvement in organized crime, Gioia was drawn into the notorious Lucchese family. He spoke candidly about the violent tasks he undertook, which included shooting a bouncer in the leg. Gioia admitted his adeptness with firearms, having used them in various personal disputes to defend friends or family, and never facing legal repercussions for his actions. By the early 1990s, Gioia had become a trusted associate, breaking arms and legs and participating in hits for the family. These deeds solidified his reputation, ultimately leading to his induction as a made man in 1991.
