Legendary music producer DJ Yella revealed his thoughts on declining Dr. Dre's offer to join Death Row Records. When Dr. Dre left N.W.A. to start Death Row with Suge Knight, he extended an invitation to bring DJ Yella along, but Yella chose not to respond. Decades later, in a conversation with Dre, he learned that Dre was "kind of glad" Yella didn't follow him, as the era at Death Row was tumultuous. DJ Yella expressed no regrets over his decision, appreciating the peace it brought him. He acknowledged that though he didn't intentionally plan to avoid Death Row, not choosing a side ultimately landed him in a better place.
