Lil Keke sheds light on the gritty realities of his past life in the streets, including a decade-long run from law enforcement over a minor case. Contrary to the glorified narratives often associated with dealing, Lil Keke shares the harsh experiences he encountered, such as being shot at and witnessing deaths and incarcerations. These events, however, seemed ordinary in his neighborhood. Amidst this tumultuous past, Lil Keke found solace and fame in music, particularly during the Screw Tape era of the early '90s. Initially, the tapes circulated his neighborhood, elevating his popularity. What began as a hobby of creating tapes and freestyling at DJ Screw's house eventually led to a successful music career.
